MR2 By the Numbers

• annoying rattles diagnosed:  1!!!! (heat shield attached to flex coupling on exhaust system)

So about that build journal...

Well, the MR2 ended up not having much of a build journal.  If we had kept up to date it probably would have just been:

Post 1:  procrastinate

Post 2:  procrastinate

Post 3:  need to drop engine to replace valve seals so to hell with that

Post 4:  procrastinate

Post 5:  work on LeMons car instead

Post 6:  forgot to buy upper strut mounts

Post 7:  finally ordered missing strut mounts after 6 additional weeks of procrastinate

Post 8:  receive missing strut mounts

Post 9:  actually schedule time to do the upgrade and after successfully removing the brake calipers find that we are unable to remove front endlinks.

Post 9.5:  order new endlinks before cutting off the old ones.

Post 10:  panic since autox season starts in >10 days, enlist competent friend to do the work for me for a handsome sum of money.



The Work Begins

The plan is set, and work is beginning. The car is getting new valve seals, suspension, sway bar and several other things. Keep checking in as we get the work done.
